Is there a answer to the loud iPod volumes?

There are a few answers.

First is of course the easiest which is to just turn down the volume on your iPod. That will work really work on any iPod or any machine for that matter.

The second is that Apple released a iPod update on 3/29/2006 for the 5th generation iPods that allows users to set a maximum volume preference.
