How do you put the iPod Shuffle into hold?
To disable all the buttons, or put the iPod Shuffle into "hold" just press and hold the play/pause button for five seconds. After five seconds you will see the little orange light above the controls blink three times, now it is hold.
To take the iPod Shuffle out of hold, press and hold the Play/Pause button again until the green light blinks.
