Otterbox Defender iPhone Case

Packaging & First Impressions

What you get out of the box is the case and a nice belt clip. First step in our testing was to see if we could just put it on without any help. We failed miserably. Read the instructions or suffer the consequences.

To get it on you have to remove the rubber rim and detach the two sides with small screwdriver. Not the easiest thing we have ever done. After that, just place your iPhone in the case and latch it all back up.

Fully Defended

The case very well made and does fully protect your iPhone from drops and a ride in a diaper bag. It covers the front with a thin plastic screen and all of the hole with a mesh. Most of the buttons are covered by rubber and there are windows on the back for the Apple logo and camera which is a nice touch. The one missing button cover is the ringer volume which is not accessible when the cover is on so make sure you have it the way you want to keep it before installing.

We kept the case on for a full day and were able to everything normally do from making phone calls to surfing the web. While the case does as bulk we got used to it after a few minutes. Out biggest concern, the touch interface, was no problem at all it worked just as it had before.

Conclusion

The Otterbox Defender Case for the iPhone is a well made and designed case that offers a much higher level of protection for travel or spending the day at the beach.
