A review of the LiliPod iPod case.

Packaging & First Impressions
If the Otterbox is a storm trooper outfit for your iPod the LiliPod would be the space ship. When we took it out of the packaging we were immediately impressed with the solid look and feel of the LiliPod and maybe just a bit confused. Sure, we understood the hard white plastic case, but would could that oyster-neck looking thing be? A stand? An outie? Of course, once we had our morning coffee it all made perfect sense, it is the elongated headphone jack. Ahhhh....
Throw Me! Please.
We will also come clean that the first time we went to put our sweet little iPod Photo (60GB, don't cha know) into the LiliPod, we put it in upside down. The whole headphone jack thing makes sense in theory but with the case held upright, it just made sense to slide the iPod in there upright. More confusion in the picture gallery.
After our second cup of coffee and getting the iPod correctly situated in the Lilpod the urge to beat the thing to death overwhelmed us. Yes, we understood there is a $400 iPod inside of a $40 case but it sure feels solid. Everything from the hinge, to the latch, to the thick white plastic just screams good solid protection and at the same time "THROW ME!" It is that kind of screaming that made us almost drop Lilipod from different heights and almost submerge it in a sink of ice water and lastly almost hook it up to a car battery. Almost is a strong word and luckily our coffee wore off before we tried any of that.
