Apple's iPod Shuffle Armband
Since the iPod Shuffle is the most gymtastic of all the iPods it became clear that it needed an armband accessory and quick. Apple provided such an armband for review.

Packaging & First Impressions
Green seems to be the color of iPod Shuffle stuff so it was no surprise that this little accessory came in a green box. Unlike the rest of Apple's iPod products the box was just a box to be opened.
There is really not much to it as you pull it and the "instructions" out of the box. It is basically a flat band of rubber material with five strips of Velcro on one side. At the end there is a metal loop and a plasic dock for your iPod Shuffle.

To use the armband, as if you really needed instructions, you loop the strap through the metal piece, slip it onto whatever appendage you are attaching it to (we only tried the arm) and fold the strap back on itself to match up the two pieces of Velcro. It took us a few tries to get the tension just right but you might be smarter and faster. A little too tight and you might lose an arm, too loose and you might as well just use string. But, just like the little girl with the golden hair, you can get it just right and once you do it works as advertised.
We are looking forward to a little warmer weather so we can fully test it out in the mean streets of the city, but for now a few laps around the testing lab seemed to show it will hold your iPod Shuffle safely and securely.

Conclusion
As of this writing, Apple's iPod Shuffle armband is the only shipping game in down. It does a good job, if not great but you will be the envy of everyone in the gym.
