MWSF: iTunes Music Store Update & Paramount

While the iPhone and Apple TV might have taken most of the spotlight during the last couple of days, lost in the mix were two things about the iTunes Music Store.

While nobody was looking Apple sold their 2 billionth song and became 5th biggest music seller in the United States. That is a lot of JT out there in the world.

Also announced was the addition of Paramount Pictures movies to the store which include such timeless classics as Zoolander and School of Rock. The will be added into the mix with Disney and Pixar as the store has sold over 1.3 million movies so far.

The last bit of news is Apple officially changed their name from "Apple Computer, Inc" to "Apple, Inc" to represent the change in market and type of company they are.
