Apple iPhone Update 1.1.1 With iTunes & Starbucks
Apple releases a new release to the Apple iPhone and brings a new fun feature which we review.
There were a lot of new features in the iPhone 1.1.1 update including landscape attachments in mail, more security options, double button functions and some security hole fixes. The most interesting feature we saw and are using is the new Apple iTunes Store.
iTunes on iPhone
Long awaited and finally here is the iTunes store on the iPhone. On a Wifi network you can browse songs, albums and top ten lists which are all a click away from downloading. The feature is certainly welcome and as easy as all things Apple. The two big missing features are the ability to download videos and the ability to do it over the AT&T Edge. Both features are probably more about the bandwidth and network than turning it on. Another missing feature is the ability to update subscribed Podcasts which hopefully will be addressed.
Starbucks
The other very cool feature is the Starbucks integration of the new iPhone iTunes. The way it works is that as you get close to a Starbucks a new button appears allowing you to browse recently played songs in the store, must haves and top ten lists. One click and the song is one its way down to your iPhone for just a few cents. A great addition and another way to fleece the coffee fiends.
As a side note, you cannot surf the regular web on the Starbucks Wifi, so don't try.
